Cruising and Camping at Cobnor 2017

There will be powerboat support on the SATURDAY but not on the Friday or Sunday

We are planning to revive a CMYC tradition of cruising and camping at Cobnor over the weekend.  The venue is Chichester Harbour and the camping will be in the fields owned by the Beale family on Cobnor point.  The facilities are basic but include access to toilets and showers.  The charges are reasonable.  Plan to arrive on the Friday evening, pitch your tent in the field and get your boat ready for sailing on the Saturday.  We plan to have powerboat support on the Saturdays.  Dinghies are launched from the slipway at Bosham Sailing Club, Cobnor Point.  Boats are required to display a valid harbour plaque. These are available from the Harbourmaster's office at Itchenor or online http://www.conservancy.co.uk/page/harbour-dues-charges/319/

If you are planning to come, please send Donal Roche an email as soon as possible as he needs to know numbers well in advance of the camping/cruising weekends to secure the pitches.

If your partner is not a sailor then there's lots to do.  There's great shopping and an Art Gallery a few miles drive away at Chichester; also there are lovely walks around the Chichester Harbour area.
