Junior Helm Week (update 18/6)

Online bookings are now well underway, please refer to your Newsletter for details of how to log on and book.

So far there are 57 applicants. Oppies AM being the most popular, it would be helpful if new Oppie apllicants could sign up for the afternoon session. Toppers are reasonably evenly distributed between AM and PM.

Please could instructors that are able to help complete the volunteer form, unless they have already included details in their child's application.

CMYC Dinghy Sailing Training Courses (Adult) 2013 (follow the RYA Sailing courses link for RYA courses)

Improvers	2 days	17^th & 24^th March	For those that have achieved Level 2 or Level 3 and would like revise and improve their skills.
Race Officer Training	Half day	28^th April am/pm	Two sessions combined with some informal rapid races, train in one session sail in the other (optional).
Single Handers	1 day	2^nd June	Format TBD.
Ladies mornings	Half day	8^th June 14^th July	A chance for ladies to have a coaching session tailored to their needs.

Saturday Club for Adults

Each year, from April to November, we run monthly full day ‘Saturday Clubs' for both juniors and adults.

With regard to adult participants the opportunity is offered to have any sailing related question/need resolved - whether it is on a particular sailing technique or how best to prepare your boat for trailing to another venue. It is essential that advance notice is given so that an instructor or ‘expert' can be booked. If your requirement is an ‘on the water' one, then an instructor will accompany you in your own or a ‘Club' boat - these being available at no charge at these sessions.

If you want to try your hand at racing, then the midday ‘Start Racing' series is aimed at those just starting to race (experienced sailors including some novices are excluded) and is supported with ‘on the water' coaching.

If you would like to attend Adult Saturday Club you need to book via Online Bookings no later than the preceeding Tuesday evening.

Over the year there may be other days set aside under the broad heading of informal training. These are advertised in the Newsletter.
