What a fabulous day’s sailing we had in Portsmouth Harbour at the end of June! 16 Mariners assembled at Hardway Sailing Club’s slipway to rig their boats and set sail once the tide had risen sufficiently.
There is a beautiful walkway around Cobnor point with picture post-card views of Bosham, Itchenor, and down the Channel to East Head. It was here that King Canute once pondered power over the tides.
Our first Chichester Harbour Cruise of 2018 was a really beautiful day. The weather was warm and sunny and the light breeze held up almost all day, making for near perfect cruising conditions.
The annual cruise around Hayling Island this year will be going anti-clockwise as high water will be just after 11am. We will be going anti-clockwise around Hayling Island going up the Emsworth Channel and then following the island shore towards H.I. Bridge.
