Solent Cruise

We have two Solent Cruises in the calendar for 2024. The first is planned for Saturday 29th June and the second for Saturday 20th July. Members should assemble at the South East end of the Salterns Road, Car Park, Hillhead, near the Seafarer Sailing Club and slipway. (Post code PO14 3LU)  There is a charge of £6 for car parking for the day.

There will be powerboat support on this cruise.

A day cruise around the Solent area. Ryde, Cowes, Bembridge, Newtown Creek, Portsmouth Harbour, Beaulieu River, and other spots in Southampton Water are all within a day's cruising range. Boats must be adequate for these waters and generally a Miracle-sized dinghy is the smallest of the Club's classes that is suitable. Boats should be equipped for a day's cruising with an anchor and warp, tow line, bailers, oars or paddles, spares, a change of clothes, food and drink. Helms should have adequate experience.  Please be rigged and ready to sail by 10.30 am. There will be a briefing there at 10.00 am on the day.

How to book:

A reminder is sent out before each cruise. You phone or email me to book a place the Wednesday before, by 9pm. If you would like extra support; to crew for someone; someone to crew for you, let me know when you book. If you have booked on the cruise and it needs to be cancelled, you will be notified on the Friday before by 9pm.
