RYA Sailing Courses for youths at CMYC

An RYA qualification is known and respected the world over. We work constantly to ensure that the highest standards are maintained. Crawley Mariners Yacht Club offers a range of RYA Youth courses catering for beginners and more advanced sailors. Combined RYA Stage 1 - Start Sailing & RYA Stage 2 - Basic Skills

RYA Training Centre: Crawley Mariners Yacht Club

Venue: Sailing on Hedgecourt Lake and theory presented in the CMYC clubhouse or outside if the weather is suitable.

Duration: Four days

Instructor to student ratios: There will be a maximum of six students per instructor. 

Course materials and equipment: Books are included in the course fee and a club buoyancy aid. Students on this course will sail single handed Topper dinghies, a discount is available if you use your own Topper, which must be in good condition. Students are expected to have their own sailing clothing appropriate for the conditions, these may include wetsuit or drysuit, spray top, dinghy sailing shoes or boots, gloves and hat. 

Previous experience: none required.

Dates: 15th, 16th, 23rd & 29th June 2024

Fee: £135 using a club boat or £110 using your own boat (this course is only open to CMYC members)

RYA Stage 3
